Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information TrendHog collects, why we use it, when we share it, and how you can make a request.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to TrendHog, a TikTok Shop intelligence service operated by ChessReps LLC, including its website, product, support communications, and authorized integrations.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

We may collect your email address, account details, support messages, and the information needed to manage your subscription. Payments are processed by Stripe; TrendHog does not store complete payment card numbers.

Information from connected services

If you connect a TikTok Shop account, we may receive account and shop identifiers, granted API scopes, authorization tokens, and data returned through the APIs you authorize. We may also receive billing status from Stripe and authentication status from Supabase.

Information collected automatically

Our hosting providers may process IP addresses, browser and device information, requested pages, timestamps, and diagnostic logs. TrendHog uses essential cookies for authentication and security. Saved videos are stored with your TrendHog account by Supabase.

3. How we use information

  • Provide, secure, maintain, and improve TrendHog.
  • Authenticate users and preserve authorized settings.
  • Process subscriptions and provide customer support.
  • Operate requested TikTok Shop features and data views.
  • Detect abuse, troubleshoot failures, and protect the service.
  • Comply with law and enforce applicable agreements.

TrendHog does not sell personal information or use connected TikTok Shop data for targeted advertising.

4. How we share information

We disclose information only as needed for the following purposes:

  • Service providers. Vercel hosts the application, Supabase provides database and authentication services, Stripe processes billing, and other vendors may support storage, communications, and approved data integrations.
  • Legal and safety. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate fraud, or respond to valid legal process.
  • Business changes. Information may transfer as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of business assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.

We do not give service providers permission to use TrendHog information for their own independent marketing.

5. TikTok Shop data

TrendHog accesses TikTok Shop data only through approved interfaces and scopes. We use that data to provide the features requested by the authorizing user, secure the integration, and comply with TikTok's platform requirements. We do not use an authorization for unrelated purposes.

You may revoke TrendHog's TikTok Shop access through the applicable TikTok Shop controls. You may also contact us to request disconnection or deletion of data associated with your authorization.

6. Data retention

We retain information while an account or integration is active and as needed to provide the service. We may retain limited billing, security, and transaction records where required for fraud prevention, accounting, dispute resolution, or legal compliance. Provider backups may persist for a limited period after information is removed from active systems.

7. Security

TrendHog uses administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. These include HTTPS, server-side secret storage, controlled production access, authenticated internal endpoints, managed cloud security controls, and separation of production and private development environments. No system can guarantee absolute security.

8. Your choices and rights

You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information associated with you. You may also ask to disconnect an integration or object to certain processing. Applicable rights vary by location and may be subject to identity verification and legal exceptions.

To make a request, email hello@trendhog.com. You may also manage cookies through your browser. Deleting your TrendHog account removes its saved videos.

9. Children

TrendHog is a business service and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the service.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as TrendHog changes. We will publish updates here and revise the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated through the service or by email when appropriate.
